William Arambula
William Arambula is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Kogi Capital, a private investment firm established in 2018 that focuses on deploying capital across the entire capital structure of lower-middle market companies in North America.
He has played a pivotal role in shaping Kogi’s innovative indoor air pollution control platform and has co-led investments in diverse sectors, including affordable real estate, ecotourism, water treatment, and private credit.
Will brings a wealth of experience to his roles, including a background as a hedge fund analyst and nine years in investment banking at J.P. Morgan. His career includes three years in Latin America and six years based in New York, where he honed his expertise in global markets and complex financial strategies.
Will has raised over USD $20bn in debt and equity, advised on mergers and acquisitions valued at USD $10bn+, helped overseeing a USD $1bn+ credit and equity portfolios, and worked in more than USD $6bn of bankruptcies/restructurings.
Beyond his investment work, Will is passionate about financial literacy and education. He serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Alberta Business School and as a Sessional Instructor at MacEwan University School of Business, where he teaches the next generation of business leaders.
Will is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Will holds a Bachelor of Science from Universidad de los Andes with a major in Industrial Engineering, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
